AP Boba Fett by 3A Toys

Andy Heng of Toysrevil Blog explains these photographs way better then I ever could:

'A few snaps swiped off Eric '3A-Radio' Grant's posting on the ThreeA Legion FB-groups - of his A/P Boba Fett, made by 3A Toys. Now before you get all-excited and whatnot, this fabric-clothed 6-inch tall articulated figurine was shown at 2011's SDCC as "samples" (alongside a Storm Trooper) and showcases the manufacturing ability of 3A, rather than an actual production piece!

No news if this gets 3A into the license of producing Star Wars figurines, but if they do, expect pandemonium to be unleashed. The figure shown below-left next to Boba is the "Action Portable" 1/12-scaled Tomorrow King from 3A Toys.'

Travel posters for various Star Wars locations by KOMBOH. Happy Star Wars Day!

Short Film: StarWars The Old Republic

"StarWars The Old Republic" directed by Michael Schaak

This is an astonishingly good Star Wars fan film. Remember the original cinematic intro "Hope", well some incredibly talented fans created the entire thing, shot for shot, but in real life. It completely blows my mind that a fan could put something like this together in his spare time when the technology to create the relatively primitive effects in the original Star Wars trilogy have only been around for thirty-five years or so. It make you wonder what sort of things our grandkids will be cobbling together thirty years down the road.

200,000 Clay Figures: British sculptor Antony Gormley is well-known for his life-size sculptures that creatively mimic the human body, but the figurative clay mounds from his series titled Field, though not as accurate in depicting mankind's form, holds deeper value for the artist. Gormley says of this project, "I wanted to work with people and to make a work about our collective future and our responsibility for it. I wanted the art to look back at us, its makers (and later viewers), as if we were responsible - responsible for the world that it [FIELD] and we were in."

Free Comic Book Day is back again! It's the one day a year when comic book stores in North America and around the world will be handing out free books -- mainly as an attempt to lure new readers to the genre. Some shops do signings, too. See you at the comic book shops on May 5th!

1/6th Star Wars Arcade Game by Le Chuck

Some people are just too clever for my liking! This dude named 'Le Chuck' has gone and built the best thing since microwavable popcorn. Standing just under 12 inches tall, this miniture 1983 Star Wars arcade machine takes the crown for inventiveness. Have a watch of the video below to learn more about the making of this fine piece of engineering and to witness the game play in action.

Quick Pic: Parkland High School

Parkland High School
Via: Reddit

Parkland High School in Allentown Pennsylvania bears an odd resemblance to Han Solo's smuggling ship. Officials deny that this is anything more than a coincidence, but their piddling attempts at Jedi mind tricks will not work on us. We know a YT-1300 light freighter when we see one.

Opened in 1999, the school got off to a rough start. The first three or four graduating classes were held back until someone finally found a hydrospanner and got the Commencement Drive back in working order. Now, you can matriculate in less than twelve parsecs!
