Inspirations: Flowers (Leipzig)

This is a really tiny pansy or viola (viola tricolor). It is easy to overlook her. But just look how she found her place between stones, bricks and mortar!

Inspirations: Crow (Leipzig)

Oh yes, this one is a real macho crow guy! He was acting like the king of the parking space in front of the supermarket!

And I have to admit, he is really a gorugeous one!

I still have to grin when I see how he stands on top of the car and looked straight at the camera! ^^

Inspecting his kingdom....

Inspirations: University of leipzig

I already made this pictures some time ago but didn't show them to you. This is the new building of the university of leipzig situated where the former Paulinerkirche (church of St. Pauli) stood. Therefor there was a reference to the old church integrated in the new design (the church was destroyed 1968, for more detailed informations just have a look at wiki :) ).

It was a stormy and quite dark day.

It is all blues and greys. Glas and stone. Surprisingly beautiful.

But all the blues where stunning in the glas!

Irregular shapes... which are still ordered.

Oh just look at the broken lines! Even in twenty years, when it is used and dirty, from smog and birds and whatever... it will still look great! Because all the different shades, the broken lines... you won't see any dirt at all because the aging and weathering will be integrated in the whole image of the building. One may thing it looks so easy to accomplish but this is the hardest task at all!

When the whole project "building a new main campus" started, to be honest, I didn't like the 3D pictures of the winning design. I was surprised how much I fell in love with it. The part which reminds in its shape of the former church... I could go without it. Nice but not too special. Maybe because the images are too well known? But the other parts, playing with glas and lights, with broken lines and colours... I could dream of whole cities build like this! :)

Inspirations: Crow (Leipzig)

I got her! Look at the feathers... isn't she beautiful?

But no crow likes to be photographed...

...they really all fly away as soon as they see a camera!

PS: If you wonder how it comes that I managed to post this frequently: I just found out that I can post in advance! Yes, everybody except me was already knowing and using this feature... and I even knew that it exist... but somehow I didn't really realized it ^^

Birds

This birds I found as spring decoration stuff. They are really tiny... and I had to paint them. After that I thought: Why not create some images with them before I use them to make earrings? ^^

Of course I just had this thought because I wanted to play with the picasa image effects!

But I think they would make cute little cards if you print them out! So feel free if you would like to! And if you want a higher resolution, just write me an email and I'll send it to you :)

Inspirations: St. Nikolas church or "Nikolaikirche" (Leipzig)

I nearly forgot this little foto although I really like the effect :) So as a little in between....

And a snail still sleeping :)

Relax, it's only a ghost!

The pink monkey got company!

And the zebra turned rainbow...

Inspirations: On the streets (Porto)

Conheces este bigode?

Do you know this moustache?

Lachafa was for four weeks in porto, portugal, being an intern at the school (she is studying at the moment with the goal of becoming a teacher :)). Of course she also makes fotos when she is seeing street art or other inspiring things! So these fotos are all from her made for me!

And yes... the moustache is also to be found in porto!

Look around for stranger....!

...or some love...

A friend of Lachafa is student teacher for art in porto. She created the decoration for the reading bee with the kids. She made animals out of old books! One of them you can see below. I just love the teeths ^^

And yes, it seems that I am back :) I am feeling way better know, hopefully can skip all the "drugs" very soon. But hey, I can move my back and hips again! Or rather... I can dance again! Okay, my neck still tries to annoy me... but in the end he'll also give in and be useable again! Ha!

Can you imagine how terrible it was for me not to be able to dance? It is not to go dancing or something like this but just all the tiny moves here and then hearing music. I didn't know how much I am moving / dancing all day until I couldn't do it anymore.

So... too many words... 'cause I just wanted to tell you that I am back to my blog and therefor back to you :)

And thanks for all your nice words and concerns! I am sorry that I didn't answered all of you but writing / being on the computer (doing anything at all...) was not the easiest thing for me to do.

Inspirations: On the streets (Leipzig XIII)

Work. Eat. Buy.

Consume then die.

I found this little piece on this street sign...

...together with a banana! Made me smile!

Know you know why the zebra is striped in black and white...

...you won't see it in a snowy grey city! ^^

Run?

Run!

Guerilla knitting! Love it...!

...it is already some weeks (months?) old...

...but still little bright and colourful spots...

...while the weather is cold, dark and grey...

Look around you...

...there are even angels to be found!

PS: Sorry for the long quiet time again. My body thought it would be a good idea to get to the emergency. I tend to disagree but I got a feeling that I don't have a saying in this ;)

Getting better, still not good. I hope I won't forget again how great it is to have a body without pain (as soon as this pain is finally gone).

Oh, and I hate being ill! Hate it! I want to work, to create stuff, learn for my defense... not to try to hold myself without pain. (sorry for this but I just had to say it ;)).

Visiting Lachafa in Münster

This blog entry is full of inspirations!

At least for me but I hope you'll also find some inspirations. And please tell me, because Lachafa is my little (no not so little anymore) sister and I am just sooooo proud of her and her stuff (and ideas and creativity... okay, I guess you got my point ^^). But I think it is the in the rights of a big sister to be proud of her younger siblings :) (for my little brother search for tophino in my blog, he makes great music!).

Just have a look at this collar she made! With hundreds of tiny beads sewn on a piece of felt! And all what she said was: Oh, that was easy...

This are long paper pieces she pinned on her wall. Her plan is to change them from time to time to change the decoration in her room (she is a student now, sharing a flat).

She cut a lino stamp and printed it on the paper. You see that only a quarter of the ornament is the real stamp.

She made a combination of a pillow and a plushy!

You remember my polymer clay buttons? Take a closer look at the eyes of the whale! :)

This one is a crochet scarf...

...you can just tighten it. But she told me just some days ago that she used the scarf as a skirt!

Some pictures about Münster...

Giant geckos (a Tokkee! I had some a few years ago! Love them :))...

...climbing up and down the houses.

The same time you can find miniature versions of the city...

...would all suit into the mouth of the gecko ^^

I always love this kind of facades...!

Lachafa :)

From every point of the city you can see steeples...

...but don't believe you could sue them as a help for orientaion. Way too many!

And she made me also a crochet cap like hers! (and will make me another one.. just a reminder sweetheart! ;))

You see the cages? Behave!

Yes... this one is frightening!

The light was just magical...

...and the ducks too cute ^^

Oh, every city needs water!

The street art Lachafa and I found... and the ruins of their train station I'll show you in another post :)
