Inspirations: Critters (Botanical garden Leipzig)

The weather was great in leipzig. Bright sunshine, high temperatures and a little bit of a cooling breeze... But everyone needed to drink a lot of water... this is why I catched this little bee!

(And to be honest: I am always astonished what my little digi is capable of! ^^ )

Another little one...

The next drinking little one :)

Some more stencils...!

I made some more stencils. I don't know what to do with them now. I am tempted to make some cards or to paint some fabric with them. I'll see. But I will make some more trees so I can arrange them in layers over each other.

But this time I added some critters to my growing stencil collection. All of the basics for the stencils of the critters were images from the blog of the graphics fairy.

Just print the image you want to make into a silhouette stencil. Cut it out with a sharp paper knife. And I know, i am repeating myself, but I think this is import: Don't be too acurate! And don't try to cut too small details.

See, I didn't cut out the whiskers. They are too thin and would just break if you try to cut them. If you really want to have whiskers in the end, just add them with a pen ^^

After cutting the cat out turn the paper. You will get two stencils. One stencil for the "inner" cat...

...and a second stencil for the "outer" cat.

From the bees: The drone...

...and the bee queen.

A dragonfly... also with reduced details. No legs, a small head... but you can see, it is definitly a dragonfly! An object can be reduced to a simple silhouette without loosing it's nature (or it's beauty!).

Everybody needs a key. There are endless projects for a key possible ^^

Inspirations: Flowers (Botanical Garden Leipzig)

They pictures were all photographed at the botanical garden of the university of Leipzig. One of my favorite places in this town. :) For the date: 23. July 2010. I just needed time for sorting them etc. This is only a small part of the collection. I tried to make a collection of the (for me) most interesting ones. I also made a lot pictures of other ones but a lot more "common".

Originally I wanted to make some stuff in my "stuff creating hour" but I had a boke accident today. My bike is broken *sniff* and my ankle three times thicker than usual. Nothing broken but it is hurting and I can't weight it... so I am not in the mood of doing something but not using this time would be bad either (Yes, I am niggle and nudge mood ^^) so I though the time would be perfect used uploading my favorite inspirtations from the botanical garden in july.

On the good side: It remembers me to make more photos soon as the temperatures are really drooping down and the plants will propably be changed :) I really look forward to get images in the winter!
