Boston native and current Portland resident, Jshea creates sculptures from the small discarded parts of forgotten gadgets and cultural icons.
This collection of artwork contains narratives that are continuously moving. Temporary and un-rooted, the subjects constantly adapt to new environments, situations, and acquaintances. Each piece evokes a momentary feeling by its nature, with the work always changing, reacting and transforming. The artist explores both the human figure and the animal form, at times morphing the two together in a unique style of mixed media.
