Stamp your frames

This is my newest stamp. Nothing new in the design because I already made several frame stamps. But this one is nevertheless something really special: I made it just for myself! ^^ 

Now the question came up what to do with a frame stamp. Most of the times I use little frames for post adress on snail mail envelopes. 

Here I used some (rather cheap, you can see the colour spreading a little bit) red and violett ink pads on old cardboard... and cut out the inner part...

From the same old cardboard (you can see some glue dots and stuff like that on the surface, I just recycle good cardboard I get from packages and co :)) I cut several small and long pieces for the sides...

...just glued 4 pieces together... I wanted a little 3D effect in the end...

...glued the finished pieces on a different (also recycled) card board...

...and just added my stamped frame with the cut out on top.

Picture frames - painted

I had some blank picture frames lying around and my patchwork like picture frame wall (also with paintings and mirrors) is (and will be for a long time) in its growing phase. Therefore they had to be painted. In the one with the dots there is already a foto (Lachafa will hate me for this but I have to agree with our parents, the foto is cool! ^^) but the blue on is still missing its center piece.

The blue one was done with artist's water colours and white embossing powder (and my new stamps for sure ^^).

Some look at the details so you can see the beautiful wood structure! It shines through the colours and only the white embossed pieces are standing out.

 A lot of acrylic paint combined with lacquer pens :)

Earring holder picture frame...

...after tidying up my bathroom a little bit, I wanted to put my earrings in some order... or some of them (the first ones in my hand to try it...) The picture frame lay around, I just arranged some silver wire and black ribbon aroung the ornaments and put some colourful (red... red... and red...) picutre behind the glas.

Sonntägliche Bastelsession (dominical handicraft session)

Dieser Blog soll vor allem für Lachafa und mich dazu dienen, ein wenig von unserem Gebastelten zu zeigen. Bei jedem Bild sollte man sich dafür auch vorstellen, wie gerade mit halb quitschender Stimme gesagt wird: "Schau mal!"

Diesen Sonntag haben wir es wieder geschafft zusammen zu finden, bei Kaffee (ich), Orangensaft (Lachafa), Chaos und Familie! Vielen Dank an das Essen @Tophino! :)

Ich hab dieses Mal vor allem an einem Hochzeitsgeschenk gearbeitet (die Mutter der besagten Nähhilfe beim Katzenkissen heiratet und ich bin als Brautjungfer dabei). Einem Bilderrahmen, Foto kommt dann noch dazu.

Der kleine blaue Frosch, der auf einem der Bilder mitten im Bilderrahmen sitzt, wurde extra gemacht. Nur als kleiner Größenvergleich ;) Die Bilder sind leider sehr unterschiedlich von den Farbe, da sie entweder mit Blitzlicht aufgenommen wurden oder eben mit normalem Raumlicht. Aber ich denke, man erhält einen Eindruck der wahren Farben. Bei Gelegenheit wird mal ein zusätzliches Bild bei Tageslicht gemacht (sollte es nicht vorher doch schon verschenkt worden sein...).

Wie man sieht, ist leider nach dem Backen ein Blütenblatt unten abgebrochen, aber das wird dann nochmal mit Sekundenkleber befestigt. Sekundenkleber werde ich auch generell noch unter einige Stellen zur Sicherheit fügen, daß ja Fimo sich nur gerne mit Fimo verbindet und somit die Gefahr bestünde, daß all die Blätter vom Glas fallen.
