The anticipation then begins. The customer is treated to a dazzling theatrical presentation as the STEAMPUNK’s gleaming glass crucibles fill with swirling steam. The barista then places the ground coffee on the piston and plunges it into the crucible. The grinds whirl and dance as they’re agitated and aerated by the millions of tiny bubbles. At the barista’s command, the liquid coffee is pulled by vacuum through a specially designed ultrafine photo-milled metal filter, and the dark brown elixir streams gracefully into the awaiting cup."

For a friend who's birthday is right around now. Not quite to scale, but the blue rings, and eyeball, for example, were beads I already had that were just too cool to pass up. With advice and information from the lovely Project Dalek people. Who were slightly nonplussed at the "egg Dalek" concept, but supportive nonetheless. Full documentation of the build to follow.

Watch a cute girl build a life-size replica of Doctor Who's TARDIS. I’m pretty sure her TARDIS isn’t bigger on the inside. It is however a pretty accurate recreation of the exterior, right down to the lights.

Lego Creations: Dalek Time-Lapse

Using 328 hours and 157,460 separate Character Building Bricks, four people built a two meter tall Dalek that will be unveiled at this year’s Toy Fair to celebrate the Character Building Doctor Who range of micro figures and construction playsets that were first unveiled this time last year.

Dalek Oreo Cake Bites by Navaboo

Custom design (with help from my boyfriend after my original design completely failed), adapted from Bakerella's Cake Balls.  These were made for a Doctor Who Series 6 kick-off party.

Devil's food cake balls with candy-coating, chocolate-covered pretzel sticks, eyeball decorations (purchased at a local bulk store), slivered almonds, and oreo cookies.
